Social Language Training Comes to Richmond, August 19 and 20!
Speech Connections will host a two day assessment and certification training by the creator and key implementers of the Social Butterflies Club TM. Founded in 2004 by Rhonda Osisek, MS, CCC-SLP, the Social Butterflies Club TM was developed for clients who were having trouble interacting at school. Within this program client’s individual needs are addressed, particularly in key social skill areas, such as eye contact, turn taking, asking questions, predicting social responses, and maintaining conversations. The two day training is designed for professionals working with children with ASD or other Developmental Disabilities and will include information on assessment, remediation, and implementation. The ARC of Loudon County and the Aurora School host Mary Barbara, Ph.D., RN, BCBA, author of The Verbal Behavior Approach in Leesburg, VA. This full day workshop will give parents and professionals student programming and staff training ideas for more advanced language learners.
